Our Equipment
We hold a range of specialised equipment to enable us to provide an efficient and productive service to our clients. In addition, we maintain a list of approved suppliers so as to allow us to source specialist equipment when required. This can include cranes, Manitous, tractors and other useful equipment - we’re happy to discuss your individual equipment needs in relation to you project, so don’t hesitate to ask!
All our equipment is inspected regularly in line with the requirements of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998. All climbing and lowering equipment is professionally inspected as per the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) 1998. We ensure that our saws are kept in excellent order and have a carefully chosen selection which allows us to cater to each task in a bespoke manner, allowing us to complete your work with maximum safety and efficiency.

Vehicles:
Iveco 7.5t Lorry
A great workhorse which effortlessly shifts tons of timber or woodchip in a single trip, saving time and money on larger jobs. The generously sized back has high sides and roof to contain its load safely, and tips for ease of unloading.
Ford Transit 3.5t Truck
A great everyday vehicle which is fitted with a purpose-built tipping loadbay with sides and roof, plus a separate tool and fuel storage compartment.
Ford Transit 3.5t ARB Tipper
Manoeuvrable, sturdy, and neatly proportioned, this newest addition to our vehicles ticks all the boxes and looks especially smart whilst doing so!
Isuzu 3.5t Grafter Tipper
Another very useful everyday vehicle fitted with a purpose-built tipping loadbay with sides and roof. This vehicle has the benefit of being slightly smaller so ideal for our customers’ properties with smaller driveways or up the narrowest Devon lanes!
Landrover Defender 90 4×4
Used for both tree surgery and consulting, a Landrover goes anywhere you need it to go. It is our trusted steed.
Chippers:
Jensen A540 Turntable Chipper
A fantastic, heavy duty machine capable of taking large pieces of timber with ease. The turntable design ensures maximum safety for our arborists as brushwood can be fed into the machine from almost any direction – particularly useful when working roadside.
Först TR60 Tracked Chipper
Another great machine from Jensen, this chipper is built on a narrow-access mini-digger type track bed so can be driven into anywhere that you can take a mini-digger. If you are happy to keep the woodchip , this machine can knock many man hours (and hence £££’s!) off a range of jobs.
Först ST6P Woodchipper
The newest addition to our fleet, this lighter machine packs a surprising punch for its size and can be relied upon to tidy up a site quickly!
Other Plant and Machinery:
Spiderlift CMC S15 Tracked MEWP (Cherrypicker)
Like our tracked chipper, this machine can fit into surprisingly tight spots, making it very useful for domestic work. With a vertical reach of almost 15 metres, it has a surprising reach for such a compact machine. Perfect for dealing with dangerous trees where climbing methods may be considered unsafe, and also for soft-felling of trees which may have bat roosts (this requires a methodical dismantling of a tree, lowering small sections down carefully to allow the on-site ecologist to check for presence of bats, and safely remove any that may be found). Of course, it’s also great for topping big hedges too!
